Excuse
Me
Excuse
me as I wile away the day;
The
sky is blue and blooms are on display;
Sweet
fragrance beckons me to linger near
Midst
present circumstances while they're here.
Tomorrow
may bring with it clouds of gray;
Torrential
rains that threaten long to stay;
A
dismal gloominess that births despair
That
has me longing for a day this fair.
Today
the sun is shining on my way
And
balmy breezes cause the leaves to sway
In
rhythmic harmony the birds all sing
Sweet
jubilation that befits the King.
So
pardon me, I don't mean to convey
That
I'm aloof; please do not go away;
Recline
with me beneath this azure sky
Midst
present circumstances, you and I.
